OVERVIEW The 9 Bars is a roots band based in Dublin. The project was initially conceived by Lee Meehan [Vocals & Guitar]. Originally, the band played a mixture of blues and soul rock. Since then the lineup has expanded and the musical styles have diversified. The band now includes Phil Daly [Bass Guitar & Vocals], Damian Izydor [Keyboards], Gary O'Brien [Percussion] and Khalile Vial [Drums]. The new members have brought with them varied influences meaning that The 9 Bars now play a rich and diverse repertoire including funk, reggae and dance as well as their core of soul and blues.
