SLIGO 1983 - 1986
OVERVIEW
Absolute Zero was a four-piece band from Sligo which was active from about 1983 - 1986. The line up featured Joe Hunt [Vocals], Martin Harte [Keyboards], Sean Sweeney [Guitar] and Tommy Kivlehan [Drums]. All members of the band had previously played with Reverb.

The band released its debut single, 'Go For Your Gun' in 1983 on SRS records. The band's second single, 'You Will Fall' followed two years later. It ws originally released on Plastic Records before beng re-released on Hotwire Records. The band released a final single 'Vision' before splitting.

Absolute Zero split in 1986. Sean Sweeney and went on to perform with Sid & The Stonecrushers with Martin Harte taking on keyboard duties with The Boy The Boy. Joe Hunt joined Running Blind before teaming up with Martin Harte again as part of Indian.
