| OVERVIEW Ain is the stage name for Aindriú Conroy. A native of Naas, Co. Kildare, Controy had originally performed as part of The Opiates. The band split in 2005 and he relocated to London. He rebranded himself as Ain and started working on his own blues-based material. In January 2008, his debut mini-album, 'Close To Cotton' was released. The collection compiled 6 tracks and ran for a total of 18 minutes. However, in spite of the brevity, the release received positive press.
