| OVERVIEW Almost Ghosts is an electronic-indie rock band from North County Dublin. The group came together in about 2011 with a line up of Andrew McClelland [Vocals, Guitar & Synth], David Dooley [Bass Guitar & Synth], Mike Daly [Vocals, Guitar & Programming] and Dan Curran [Drums]. Mike had previously performed with Boy Lights Fire. Almost Ghosts started out as a fairly straight up rock band. In September 2013, the group released a self-titled debut EP, featuring 'Drink It Up', 'Past And Present' and 'Lamb'. In 2014, the band underwent a metamorphosis of sorts. Dan left the line up and the remaining members regrouped. The band's sound evolved further and has drawn comparisons to the likes of The National, White Lies and Two Door Cinema Club. The band re-emerged in July 2015 with a new single. The double A-Side featured 'For This' and 'Quiet Ground'. These new tracks are a little softer than previous recordings. 2011 - Band formed 2013 - Release of 'Almost Ghosts' EP [12 September] 2014 - Dan Curran leaves the group 2015 - Release of 'For This // Quiet Ground' single [01 July] |
