2001 - The band were formed, originally as Babelfish. 2002 - 'Conversations With Robots' E.P. released - Throughout most of 2002 and 2003, Karl was touring with Gemma Hayes. Therefore, the band recruited Stevie Kavanagh on Bass Guitar 2003 - Alphastates recruit Mick O'Dowd on drums in November 2003 2004 - In April 2004, the band release their debut long player titled 'Made From Sand'
