OVERVIEW Amateur Historians was a indie guitar pop band based in Belfast. The group was formed in 2011 with a line up of Chris Curry [Vocals & Guitar], Luke Casey [Bass Guitar] and Gerard McCorry [Drums]. Luke is originally from South Africa. The band's sound has been compared to that of Los Campesinos! and Pavement. The group released one EP, 'New Homes / New Hopes' in August 2012. The record was launched with a gig at Auntie Annie's in Belfast and garnered critical acclaim and good airplay. The band gigged regularly in support of the realease.
