DUBLIN 2006 -
OVERVIEW
Ana Gog is a Dublin-based rock band. The group came together in 2006 when the members were studying at NUI Maynooth. The band is fronted by multi-instrumentalist, Michael Gallen. He is joined by Colm Keenan [Drums & Pitched Percussion], Ciarán McCann [Keyboards, Bouzouki & Electronics], Rob Molumby [Bass Guitar, Piano & Vocals] and Adam Fleming [Electric Guitar & Vocals]. The quintet share an eclectic mix of influences which include jazz, metal, folk, electro and trad. Amazingly, the group have been able to knit these styles into a unique sound which has been described as folk post-rock or rock opera.

The band released its debut EP, 'Light On / Light Off' in 2011. Ana Gog's debut long player followed in March 2013. Entitled 'Making Trails', the album was warmly received. The 11-track collection showcased the band's unique and enchanting sound across tracks such as 'Mr. Magpie', ''Wolf, Fox And Hound' and 'Absolute Voice'
