MULLINGAR, CO. WESTMEATH | FRENCHPARK, CO. ROSCOMMON 2012 - 2013
OVERVIEW
Appian Way was a short-lived pop-rock band. The 5-piece band came together in early 2012 with 4 of the 5 from Mullingar while one solitary member was from Frenchpark, Co. Roscommon. That Roscommon man was non other than bass guitarist Keith Naughton while the Westmeath contingent included Elaine Faughnan [Vocals, Keyboards & Synth], Ciaran Fagan [Guitar], Daragh Cummins [Drums & Vocals] and Joey Mulligan [Guitar]. The band quote Biffy Clyro, Two Door Cinema Club and The Cure as influences.

Quite early in its life, the group retreated to the studio to record its debut single. The studio in question was The Vibes studio in Drumshanbo - home of producer Leo Logan [ex-The Vibes]. The output of this recording session was the single 'Teignmouth Electron' which was released in March 2012. In December of the same year, Appian Way returned to the same studio to record the follow up single. This time, the result was 'In Flame' which was released in June 2013.

However, by August 2013 Appian Way was no more. Nothing is known about the band's current musical endeavours.
