OVERVIEW Anto, being born in west Cork was stepped in music and legends. Starting his musical career at only thirteen began playing drums and within a year was playing session drums seven nights a week, not to mention gaining experience from legends such as Noel Redding (Jimi Hendrix) and Eric Bell (Thin Lizzy). In 2003 after touring and recording, Anto retired back to West Cork to begin his own recording project and within six months released his debut album Faster. Since its release Anto has toured Ireland extensively, toured with acclaimed Roesy, played at the return of Lisdoonvarna in the RDS, and Witness. Also toured in America in 2006. Anto is Armourd Bear as he plays virtually all the instruments on the album except for the keyboards (played by Herbie Macken). Currently Armoured Bears live act features six members, many back projected multi-media visuals and videos, and atmospheric and mood setting light arrays. 2006 - Release of 'Imagination' single [20 October] 2008 - Release of 'Fall' single [12 September] - Armoured Bear perform as part of the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin [14 September] - Release of 'Honeycomb Moons' album [03 October]
