| OVERVIEW Enemies is a 4-piece instrumental rock band based in Co. Wicklow. The outfit was originally conceived as a solo project for Eoin Whitfield who was playing with another Wicklow band, Kidd Blunt, at the time. He soon enlisted some additional musicians and Enemies was born. In addition to Whitfield, the line up also includes Lewis Jackson [Guitar], Oisin McMahon-Trench [Drums] and Mark O'Brien [Bass Guitar]. The band released a debut EP, 'Alpha Waves' in March 2009. The EP received a Japanese release a year later and that version featured an extra track in the form of 'Nag Champa'. The band had planned a 7" release in early 2009. However, difficulties with manufacturer meant that this never came to pass. However, Richter Collective later made the 2-track release available as a digital download. The band released its debut album entitled 'We've Been Talking' on 11 June 2010. 2007 - Band formed 2008 = Release of 'Alpha Waves' EP [14 March] 2010 - Release of 'We've Been Talking' album [11 June] 2011 - Release of 'Coco Et Moi' single as part of Record Store Day 2011 [16 April] - Enemies perform as part of the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival in Dublin [06 - 08 October] 2012 - Release of 'Indian Summer' single [13 August] 2013 - Release of 'Embark, Embrace' album [10 May] 2015 - Release of 'Play Fire' single [18 August] |
