OVERVIEW Fiction Peaks is an indie-rock-pop band from Dublin's northside. The group's current line up features Joey Doyle [Vocals, Guitar & Sampler], Cillian Kenny [Bass Guitar & Trumpet] and Barry Lyons [Vocals & Synth]. Earlier versions of the band also included Brian Giles [Guitar & Synth] and Dan Doherty [Drums & Percussion]. Brian and Dan have performed with the likes of Sickboy, Crimes Against and Ghost Estates. Garr Cleary [The North Sea] may also have played with the group at one time or another. The band's sound is an interesting melange of alternative rock mixed with an equal measurement of indie-pop - all overlayed with 1980s electronica. The band quickly established a reputation as a strong live outfit. Despite their relatively recent formation at the time, the band was invited to perform at Ireland's prestigious Electric Picnic Festival in September 2013. Later that year, the track 'Synesthesia' was made available as a free download. However, it wasn;t until January 2015 that there was an official release from the band. The eponymously-titled debut EP featured 4 tracks in total - 'Dye Is Cast', 'Future In Replay', 'Document Dissent' and 'Gun For Hire', 2013 - Band formed - Fiction Peaks perforn as part of the Electric Picnic Festival [05 September] 2015 - Release of 'Fiction Peaks' EP [22 January]
