2008 -

OVERVIEW Fighting Spiders was formed in early 2008 by members of a number of other bands including Daë Kim, Duped, The Lullabees and Ashley Sheehan & The Mute. The line up of the band includes Ashley Sheehan [Vocals, Guitar, Trumpet & Programming], Fintan Kavanagh [Guitar, Vocals, Violin & Synths], Jay Barden [Keyboards, Synths, Sampling & Programming], Tommy Farrell [Bass Guitar, Vocals, Synths & Programming] and Aaron Mulhall [Drums, Percussion, Vocals, Loops & Programming]. The band was originally conceived as a studio project, the band soon decided to take the project to a live audience. The band quickly developed interest and this led to the recording of a debut album, provisionally entitled 'Tarantism'. However, just as the band was about to launch the record, tragedy struck with the untimely death of the band's keyboard player, Jay Barden.
