| OVERVIEW Flexihead was a hardcore band based in Dublin during the early 1990s. The line up featured Niall Byrne on vocals and guitar, Niall Bowden on bass guitar and Andy Inight on drums. Niall Byrne had previously performed with Last Rites while Niall Bowden has been a member of Ciúnas. The band took inspiration from the likes of Minutemen, Girls Against Boys and The Jam. The band released a solitary EP during its lifetime. The self-titled collection, which was released in 1993, featured 'Mine', 'Nervous' and 'Scars' The following year, the band contributed the track 'Balaclava' to the 'Rejected ::: Volume 1' compilation. After the band split, Niall Byrne went on to perform with Jackbeast before joining the legendary post-rockers The Redneck Manifesto. He also performed as part of Visionair and Blood Bill.
