2006 - 2009

OVERVIEW Good Tiger was a Kilkenny -based band active from about 2006 to 2009. The group was formed out of the ashes of Blue Ghost which featured Davey Holland [Vocals & Guitar] and Alan Montgomery [Bass Guitar]. The line up was completed by Ger Cantwell [Drums] who had formerly played with Gout and Jilted. Brian Butler joined the outfit in 2008 as a second guitarist. The band's sound is a mixture of rock, soul and funk. The band released its debut album in 2008. The record was entitled 'The Dynamics Of Alcatraz' and featured a total of 13 tracks. One of these tracks, 'The Heart's A Fatal Flaw' was later contributed to the 'Songs For Susie' compilation of Kilkenny artists. In 2009, the band made a set of demos of new material available on its official website. However, these songs never saw a formal release.
