OVERVIEW Richard Gilpin is a singer-songwriter based in County Donegal. Originally from Belfast, Gilpin has played with a number of bands over the years including Admiral Spears, Stone River and Greengrass. However, he decided the time was right to go solo. His style has been described as Blues-tinged folk. His first recorded output as a solo artist came in the form of the 'Beautiful Mistake' alsbum which was released in 2002. This was quickly followed by the sophomore release, '33' a year later.
