OVERVIEW Hvmmingbyrd is a folk-pop band originating in Maynooth. The project was pulled together by Deborah Byrne [Vocals & Guitar] who enlisted a number of like-minded females to form the group. That early line up included Becca Carroll [Vocals & Keyboards], Dolores Fogarty [Vocals, Flute & Melodica], Helen Lane [Drums & Percussion] and Catriona Mitchel [Bass Guitar]. The quintet's debut performance came at Culture Night 2013 in the Hugh Lane Gallery. The band very quickly started wotk on their debut album under the watchful eyes of producer Aisling Jarvis - daughter of Moya Brennan and neice of Enya]. The self-titled debut album was released in November 2014. The band was subsequently named one of the finalists in Hot Press Magazine's 'Super Six' of 2015 competition. That year also saw the band release the 'I'll Follow You' in support of the Aoibheann's Pink Tie charity. Over the course of 2015, the band's lineup changed dramatically. All but Deborah left the line up and she set out on recruiting. In 2016, the band re-emerged with a new slimmed down lineup of Deborah and Suzette Das. Suzette is a vocalist and piano player. The duo announced the return of Hvmmingbyrd with the release of a new single - 'Out Of My Head' in March of that year. 2013 -Band formed 2014 - Release of 'Hvmmingbyrd' album [13 November] 2015 - Release of 'I'll Follow You' single [20 February] 2016 - Release of 'Out Of My Head' single [25 March]
