| OVERVIEW Jack Planck was a musical alias of Garret Lee, better known since the late 1990s as Jacknife Lee. However, Garret's musical story stretches back to the early1980s when he was to be found performing with bands such as Casablanca Moon He later joined garage-punk outfit Thee Amazing Colossal Men in about 1985. That group has a moderate amount of success releasing the excellent 'Superlovexperience' single before record company complications led to the shelving of that project. However, Garret and other band members regrouped as Compulsion shortly afterwards. The band released a series of acclaimed albums and EPs over a five or six year period during the early to mid 1990s. After the break up of Compulsion, Garret decided to furrow a solo path and became more engaged in the production side of the business. He emerged as Jacknife Lee during the late 1990s and released electronic-influenced music. Under this moniker, he also build a reputation as a producer par excellence. In about 2002, recorded a number of songs and decided to release them under the Jack Planck moniker.
