1979 - 1980

OVERVIEW The Kidz was a new wave band from Cork which was active around 1979/1980. The lineup included Aidan McCarthy [Vocals] and Martin Kelleher [Bass Guitar]. Both had previously played with Cork punk band, Berserk. The band played around Cork a number of times during its relatively short existence. The group is also known to have recorded a single 'I'll Get Caught' which was backed with 'Prototype Pete'. It's not clear if this single ever got a full release. The band split somewhere around 1980. McCarthy went on to play with Romeo Butcher and Adolf Grunt before tragically being killed in a car crash in 1981. 1979 - Band formed 1980 - Band split
