OVERVIEW Organics is a Dublin-based jazz-influenced group which has been active on the Irish scene since 1997. The group's sound is epitomised by the hammond organ of Justin Carroll. The rest of the band's line up includes Kevin Brady [Drums] and John Moriarty [Guitar]. To date, the band has released two albums - 'New Light' [2005] and 'Liquid Sunshine' [2008]. The records have included a good balance of cover versions and original compositions. One of the most interesting interpretations came in the shape of the their take on 'Songs Of Love' the theme from 'Father Ted' which appeared on the 'Liquid Sunshine' record. The original version was, of course, by The Divine Comedy. Organics also perform reularly on the live circuits with notable appearances at the likes of the Cork Jazz Festival and the Bud Rising Festival. 1997 - Band formed 2005 - Release of 'New Light' album [01 October] 2008 - Release of 'Liquid Sunshine' album [26 September]
