ROSCOMMON / GALWAY 2004 -
OVERVIEW
Rarefish is the brainchild of Sean Cooney. Cooney is originally from Rathdowney, spent most of his life in Roscommon and is now resident in Galway. He first appeared on the scene in the early 90s as part of Prism and their electro-fuelled release 'Future For Sale'. Demos had been laid down for a subsequent release, however, this material never saw the light of day. There are rumours of a bootleg called 'Preamp' of this (as well as more recent tracks) circulating.

It wasn't, however, until 2004 before Cooney would return with an official release. Now known as Rarefish, Cooney is determined to make up for lost time. His music is perfectly adapted to film soundtracks and it would not be surprising to see him follow David Holmes down this route.
