OVERVIEW Retarded Cop was a punk-pop band based in Dublin. The project started as a solo vehicle for Gaz Le Rock [aka Gary Keogh, aka Gary Showbiz]. Gary was previous a member of punk band Moutpiece. Since then, Retarded Cop has expanded into a full five piece band with Jill Daly [Keyboards, Synths & Backing Vocals], Kevv Pluck [Guitar & Backing Vocals], Moose [Bass Guitar] and Eric Stover [Drums]. Over the course of its career, the band has shown an uncanny knack to write short and catchy punk pop tunes. For example, the track 'Tea And Fags' was rewarded with a 4-star rating by The Irish Times in November 2010. The group unleashed its debut album in June 2011. Entitled, 'You Have The Right To Remain Retarded!' the record comprised nine tracks. One of those tracks, 'Popicalia' was contributed to the 'Popical Island ::: Vol 2' compilation on Popical Island Records. There were no further releases from the band. Gary move on to other projects including Hot Colossus and Gary Showbiz. 2010 - Band formed 2011 - Release of 'You Have The Right To Remain Retarded!' album [03 June]
