DONEGAL 1999 - 2007
OVERVIEW
The Revs was an indie rock band from Donegal which was active during the early to mid 2000s. The group was formed at the end of 1999 by school friends Rory Gallagher [Vocals & Bass Guitar], John McIntyre [Guitar & Vocals] and Michael O'Donnell [Drums & Percussion. The group's early material exhibited a certain punk feeling. This was often evident in the song title's and lyrics.

The band went on to release three albums - Sonictonic [2001], Suck [2003] and The Revs [2005]. All of the albums were well received and charted strongly. The albums were supported by a series of memorable singles. Notable amongst these were 'Wired To The Moon' [2001], 'Tuesday Monday / Turnin' Japanese' [2001], 'Death Of A DJ' [2003] and 'Time Slippin' [2005].

In 2006, 'The Revs' album received a european release. In spite of this growing fan basse, the group had run its course. In January 2007, The Revs announced that the band was taking an indefinite break from the music business. In July of that year, the group played one final tour.

Rory gallagher moved to Lanzarote where her performed and recorded, firstly as Rory and, subsequently, as Rory & The Island.
