OVERVIEW Temple Door was a Cork-based band which was active during the mid-1990s. The band featured a lineup of Aine O'Keeffe [Vocals & Percussion], Niall O'Keeffe [Guitar, Keyboards, Programming & Backing Vocals], Adrian Quirke [Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar & Backing Vocals] and Trevor Kiely [Drums & Percussion]. Aine and Niall had been backing vocalists with The Bulbs while Trevor had drummed with Colourtide (Trevor's time with Colourtide may post date his time with Temple Door). The band released at least one single during its lifetime. The 'Roll On The Weekend' EP was released on the band's own Beefy Music imprint. My copy of the copy of the EP cam with a sticker promoting the fact that it contained 2 '2TV' number 1s. However, I don;t have the detail behind that. In the 2000s the quartet re-emerged agin as Sonic Icons, this time with Kevin O'Callaghan on board on bass duties. In the intervening years, Trevor also drummed with another Cork band, Jodavino. Aine and Niall clearly instilled the love of music and the performing arts in their children. Their daughters Sophie and Laura formed their own band, Kudos, releasing their debut album 'Perfect' in 2019. 1995 - Release of 'Roll On The Weekend' EP
