OVERVIEW n/a Alternative metal band 1989 - Band formed by Andy Cairns [Vocals & Guitar]and Fyfe Ewing [Drums]. The pair soon recruit Fyfe's class mate Michael McKeegan to perform bass duties 1990 - Release of debut single 'Meat Abstract' on their own Multifuckingnational records. Only 1000 copies of the single are pressed and with plays from John Peel and Mike Edgar, the single soon sells out. - The band are picked up by indie label Wiiija 1991 - Release of debut album 'Babyteeth' [July]. The album goes to Number 1 in the UK Independent charts - THERAPY? represent Ireland at the Eurosonic festival held in Aalborg, Denmark [17 - 19 September] 1992 - Release of their second album 'Pleasure Death' [January]. Once again, the album tops the UK Independent Charts. - Release of 'Causcasian Psychosis' on Quarterstick records. This album combined 'Babyteeth' and 'Pleasure Death' - The band sign to A&M Records - Release of the 'Nurse' album [October] - Release of 'Teethgrinder' single which peaks at Number 30 in the UK singles charts 1993 - Release of the 'Shortsharpshock E.P.' - Release of the 'Opal Mantra' single - Release of the 'Face The Strange E,P.' 1994 - Release of 'Nowhere' single - Release of 'Troublegum' album - THERAPY? play the Castle Donnington ::: Monsters Of Rock Festival 1995 - Michael McCarrick joins the band for the 'Infernal Love' recording sessions. He had previously performed with Siouxsie And The Banshees - Release Of 'Stories' single - Release of 'Loose' single - Release of 'Diane' single 1996 - Fyfe announces that he is leaving the band [January] - Graham Hopkins is recruited to replace Fyfe on drums. Graham is from Clane, Co.
