2008 -

OVERVIEW Tupelo is a Dublin-based roots outfit. Formed in 2008, the line up includes James Cramer [Lead Vocals, 5-String Banjo, Guitjo, Acoustic Guitar, Harmonica, Piano & Percussion], Paul Murray [Acoustic Guitar, Bodhran, Backing Vocals & Mandolin], Damien McMahon [Double Bass & Backing Vocals], Tim Condron [Alto, Baritone & Tenor Saxophones] and Kevin Duffy [Fiddle, Backing Vocals & Mandolin]. Cramer, Murray, McMahon and Condron had previously played together as part of The Backlane Band. When Kevin Duffy joined in 2008, they became Tupelo. 2009 saw the quintet release its debut album entitled 'Leavin' Paradise' in May. Later that year, the group released 'Cá Bhfuil Ár Scoil?' as a charity single.
