LIMERICK 2004 -
OVERVIEW
Described by Influential London Station XFM as one of the most exciting bands emerging from Ireland in years, the band have been compared to parts Smiths, Cure & early U2, the band draws on a wealth of musical diversity and background.

Since their formation in the spring of 2004, Vesta Varro have wasted no time in making their presence felt both here and on the Industry movers and shakers in the UK.

The band rented a cottage in County Limerick. Rehearsed and honed their sound to an appreciative field of cattle. Recorded with Nick Seymour (ex Crowded House bassist ), played with acts such as The Thrills, Hal and Bell X1 and also completed their own Irish headline tour with further high profile shows being lined up over the coming months.

The band recently performed a session for Irish national Network 2FM and was judged by leading UK Music Industry experts as being one of the star performers at the recent Hard Working Class Heroes festival in Dublin. The video for their song Believe has been broadcast on UK music channels on the Sky TV network.

Some of the members of Vesta Varro have been writing songs together for a few years achieving two Top 30 Irish singles, won the HotPress Song of the year award and were twice Artist of the Week on Irelands leading music show Pet Sounds on Today FM.

VESTA
Roman Mythology. The goddess of the hearth, worshiped in a temple containing the sacred fire tended by the vestal virgins.

VARRO
Roman scholar and encyclopedist who reputedly produced more than 600 volumes, covering nearly every field of knowledge.
