| OVERVIEW Windings is the stage name for Steven Ryan. Ryan is better known as the lead man in giveamanakick. Steven started performing as Windings as early as 2002. He spent the next period playing live and developing the Windings sound. He also found time to record tracks for his debut album, 'Fireworks'. He initially self released this in 2004 and sold these at gigs. However, in 2005, the collection was re-released through Out On A Limb Records. Throughout this period, Ryan continued to be actively involved with giveamanakick. Things went somewhat quiet on the Windings front during 2008 and 2009 as giveamanakick released their third album, 'Welcome To The Cusp'. In spite of a great reception to the record, the band had run its course and in August 2009, the duo announced that they would split. The end of giveamanakick gave renewed impetus to Windings and 2010 saw the release of the singles 'Brain Fluid' and 'Old Like J'. The latter was a split release with Vertigo Smyth. 2002 - Windings formed 2005 - Release of the eponymously titled debut album 'Windings' [03 June] 2010 - Release of 'Brain Fluid' single as a digital download [16 April] - Release of 'Brain Fluid' EP on cassette.
